Although Alden & Associates has worked in many product markets—athletic shoes, computer software and hardware, consumer electronics, shopping centers and stores, wine and spirits, tourism and travel, telecommunications, video games and media-based entertainment, packaged foods, automobiles, and fast foods, among others—we are best known for the decades of service we've provided to the aviation industry—a worldwide client base of airframe, engine, and avionics OEMs, component and parts suppliers, and aviation service providers.
Scott Alden, principal of Alden & Associates Marketing Research, possesses a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance; a Master of Business Administration; and a Master of Science in Marketing. He did doctoral work at the University of Southern California, earning a Ph.D. in Marketing and a doctorate (abd) in Urban Planning. He is also credentialed as a Certified Professional Consultant (CPC).
In addition to over 40 years of experience in marketing research, Dr. Alden has been an entrepreneur, a retailer (both specialty and department store), and a marketing professor (most notably at the University of Southern California and Purdue University).
Dr. Alden is a member of several major academic and industry associations; his publications and presentations deal predominantly with consumer behavior.
